2019 U.S Passenger Car Sales Analysis

Report Updated: With September 2019 Data on October 1st, 2019

Top Level US Reports: By Manufacturer / By Brand / By Model / Best Sellers

Car sales in the U.S. had a tough month in September. Sales were down roughly 81,399 units. There were far more cars that saw sales decrease than the ones that saw sales increase.

The YTD numbers look very similar. There were far more models that saw sales declines so far this year than models that have seen sales increase. YTD car sales have been down 332,465 units.

The leader of the pack is the Toyota Camry, but it struggled both in the month of September and YTD. It was followed by the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla. Both of them saw sales drop in the month of September, but the Civic actually saw a rise in sales YTD.

It’ll be interesting to see how cars fare in the last few months of the year.

Below you will find sales figures for all passenger cars sold in the United States broken down by month and by quarter.GCBC is also happy to announce that we will be adding quarterly sales reports and comparisons in addition to monthly sales comparisons beginning this quarter.
