Report Updated: With June 2019 Data on July 2nd 2019
Midsize luxury SUVs sold just a bit more this year in the month of June than they did this month last year. When you look YTD, the segment is actually down by about 800 units.
The segment is moving along at a similar pace to last year, which is not a bad thing. Midsize luxury SUV sales are doing well. No one should be worried about these small changes in numbers.
Leading the pack by a long shot was the Lexus RX. However, its sales were down around seven percent. When you look YTD, the sales for the model were down by about four percent.
The big winner for the month of June was the Porsche Cayenne, which managed to see nearly a 102 percent increase in sales for the month. The model is also doing well YTD with a 78 percent sales increase.
It’ll be interesting to see how this segment moves in the coming months.

We will also be adding monthly sales tables and charts to the mix as well.
Note: FCA US LLC will end its practice of reporting U.S. and Canada sales on a monthly basis following June results. FCA US and FCA Canada will report monthly sales for May and June. The first quarterly report will occur on October 1, 2019, covering the months of July, August, and September.

This data table looks at last month’s total midsize luxury SUV sales volumes in the United States by model. We compare U.S market midsize luxury SUV model sales for last month with the same month last year. We also include the year to date sales numbers and compare with the same year to date numbers from last year. With both monthly and YTD sales numbers we have a growth rate column so you can better gauge an individual midsize luxury SUV models sales success in the U.S market.

We compare last quarter’s midsize SUV U.S sales at the model level with the same midsize luxury SUV model sales quarter last year. We also include a growth rate too so you can see which midsize luxury SUV models are growing and which ones are declining. The quarterly view of midsize luxury SUV sales at the model level often gives you a better picture of what is happening than monthly because it takes out some of the month to month noise.

US New Large Midsize SUV Sales by Month (All Models)
This sales data table looks at monthly sales performance for the midsize luxury SUV segment in the United States on a month to month basis for the entire year so far.
