Here you will find the rankings of all the major automotive brands and corporations selling vehicles in the U.S market. Each month we compile the sales data and reports for North American markets and analyze it to create the best selling list below. Note that the data trickles in throughout the day early in the month and we will update you in real time as we get the data.
Our Take Brand & Corporation Rankings
July favoured companies with strong SUV line ups, with sales of light trucks for many manufacturers and brands helping them enter quarter three on a charge.
While Ford’s overall sales were down 3.3% year-on-year for the month, it is the largest seller of SUVs and light trucks in the USA for the year so far.
Toyota, similarly, sold fewer vehicles than last July, despite setting a light truck sales record for the month. Volvo’s SUV sales are up 66% year-on-year, pushing the Swedish marque up by 23.75% for the month of July. With a shortage of Civic inventory holding back sales of its popular compacts, Honda is on track to sell more light trucks than passenger cars by the end of 2018.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale, the Genesis brand – which has only sedans in its line up – saw sales slashed by 63% year-on-year last month.
