Our Take On The Top 20 Best Selling Car Sales Numbers

Yet again the compact Honda Civic trumps the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord for the top spot, with a 1.4% year-on-year increase in sales for the Civic going against the downturn across the majority of the highest-volume passenger cars in the US market.

Although averaged out over the last three months, the Chevrolet Malibu’s return to the top-20 passenger car sales chart masks a year-on-year drop across the second quarter of 2018 of 13.5%.

Only four other nameplates in the top-20 besides the Civic and the Malibu indicated sales growth last month in this sector: the Hyundai Elantra and Sonata, the Kia Soul and the Ford Mustang.
