Our Take On The Top 20 Best Selling Car Sales Numbers

A 9.9% drop in sales for the Honda Accord in March means it falls down a place to fifth, with the Nissan Sentra’s 14.4% year-on-year increase propelling it past the mid size sedan.

Sales of the new Accord have so far failed to take off, with the first quarter seeing its sales slide 11.8% this point in 2017 despite the new model impressing critics.

Other than the Chevrolet Malibu and a pair of Dodges- with the Challenger seeing 30.9% year on year sales increase – the only passenger cars in the top 20 to see sales growth for March were compacts. The Honda Civic, Ford Focus, Nissan Sentra, and Kia Soul all increased their sales compared with the same month a year ago.
