Note that the data trickles in throughout the day early in the month and we will update you in real time as we get the data.
November 2016 was the best November in recorded history for the US auto sales market. November 2017 pushes that record even higher, with 1.385 million vehicles sold to last year’s 1.37 million.
FCA’s struggles were less pronounced in November than in recent months, with the automaker remaining fourth in the overall rankings, though last November was not a particularly month for them. This November, FCA is down 3.79% overall, following last year’s drops of 14.3% for this month.
The Fiat brand itself was one of the biggest losers for FCA – sales are down 28% year-on-year of the Italian marque, while Dodge also suffered with 15% fewer vehicles sold than were last November.
Ford Motor Company posted steady growth, with sales increasing 6.7% year-on-year. A number of Ford models – the Focus, Transit, Edge and Explorer – posted impressive gains this month to contribute to the blue oval’s increase.
Honda and Nissan both went further in the corporations standings however, with the Japanese brands posting growth of 8.3 and 13.8% year-on-year respectively. Drops for the Lexus and Toyota name badges put Toyota Motor Corporation on a 3% drop.
General Motors, at the top of the table, saw a similar drop to Toyota Motor Corporation.
German premium brands Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz all saw increases in November, while the likes of Buick and Lincoln saw drops alongside the aforementioned Lexus brand.
